A community teaching hospital in southeastern Massachusetts is seeking a Per-Diem Psychiatrist for an approximately half-time commitment. This weekday-only position combines direct inpatient psychiatric care with consultation-liaison services for medical, surgical, obstetric, and emergency departments. Hours are flexible and negotiable.

Responsibilities include:

Psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning Medication management and therapeutic interventions on a licensed inpatient psychiatric unit Consultation-liaison psychiatry Occasional coverage for inpatient psychiatric staff Multidisciplinary care coordination and discharge planning

Qualifications:

MD or DO with an accredited Psychiatry residency Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry Massachusetts licensure eligibility Consultation-liaison experience or interest preferred Experience assessing and treating substance-use disorders, including evidence-based interventions and medication-assisted treatment Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills Exact hospital and location disclosed during an introductory conversation.
