Psychiatrist Healing Haven - 3.3 Madison Heights, MI Job Details 4 hours ago Qualifications Medical License Liability insurance Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Psychiatrist - Behavioral Health Consultant Independent Contractor | Michigan | Primarily Consultative/Hybrid About Healing Haven Healing Haven is a multidisciplinary behavioral health organization supporting children and adolescents with autism and other developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs. Our teams include BCBAs, psychologists, SLPs, OTs, counselors, and other clinical professionals who work collaboratively to provide comprehensive care. Position Summary Healing Haven is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric consultation and clinical collaboration for children and adolescents receiving ABA and other multidisciplinary services. The Psychiatrist will serve as a consultative member of our clinical team , partnering with BCBAs and other providers on complex cases involving behavioral, emotional, developmental, and psychiatric concerns. This role may include case consultation, diagnostic clarification, treatment recommendations, medication-related consultation, and coordination with a client's existing medical providers. This is a consultative role; the Psychiatrist will not be responsible for prescribing or managing medication for Healing Haven clients. Responsibilities Provide psychiatric consultation for complex behavioral, emotional, developmental, and psychiatric concerns. Review relevant clinical information and provide recommendations to the treatment team. Participate in multidisciplinary case consultation and support clinical decision-making. Help identify when psychiatric or additional medical evaluation may be appropriate. Consult regarding potential medication-related changes or side effects and coordinate with outside prescribing providers when appropriate. Provide education to BCBAs and other clinical staff regarding psychiatric conditions and their presentation in individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. Support continuity of care through collaboration with clients' existing medical and behavioral health providers. Maintain appropriate documentation, confidentiality, and professional standards. Qualifications M.D. or D.O. degree Current, unrestricted Michigan medical license Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry Current professional liability coverage DEA registration, if applicable to contracted services Experience with children, adolescents, autism, or developmental disabilities preferred Strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills Why Healing Haven?
