Your Role as a Family Medicine Physician As a Family Medicine Physician at our Dallas, NC clinic, you will be a clinical leader delivering full-spectrum primary care to patients of all ages—newborn through geriatric. Our clinic maintains a close referral relationship with the local hospital, resulting in a high volume of newborn patients transitioning directly into our practice. While infant and pediatric care will make up a significant portion of your panel, you'll also care for adults and older patients, embracing collaboration, innovation, and excellence every step of the way. This role reports to the Chief Medical Officer. What You'll Do ✔ Greet and prepare patients for exams, procedures, and treatments with warmth and professionalism. ✔ Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, with a high volume of newborn and pediatric patients referred directly from the hospital. ✔ Perform newborn and well-child visits, including growth/development monitoring and immunizations. ✔ Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. ✔ Coordinate care with the referring hospital's nursery/pediatric team for a smooth newborn-to-clinic transition. ✔ Perform routine preventive care, screenings, and health maintenance visits for patients of all ages. ✔ Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures as clinically indicated. ✔ Provide chronic disease management and patient/family education on treatment plans. ✔ Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. ✔ Collaborate with and provide clinical guidance to LPNs, medical assistants, and other support staff. ✔ Ensure safe, compassionate, high-quality care is delivered at every patient encounter. What We're Looking For MD from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program, including a pediatric rotation Strong clinical skills across newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric care Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR), preferably Athena Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills A positive attitude, initiative, and commitment to continuous learning Comfortable managing a high newborn/infant patient volume 2+ years of experience preferred; new graduates willing to be trained are encouraged to apply Licenses & Certifications Active, unrestricted NC Medical License (MD) required DEA Registration required Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (ABFM or AOBFP) BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required (or must be obtained upon hire) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification preferred, given high newborn patient volume Why Join AMG? 7 PM, Monday & Thursday 8 AM
5 PM Schedule begins at 40 patient-facing hours per week, transitioning to 32 patient-facing hours plus 8 admin hours per week once a full patient load is reached.
