Full-TimePositions Available:
2ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health assessments and evaluations.

Diagnose and treat a variety of mental health and substance use disorders.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on each client's strengths, preferences, needs, and treatment goals.

Provide primarily medication management and prescribe medications in accordance with applicable policies and federal, state, and payer requirements.

Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up appointments.

Typical appointments include approximately one-hour initial evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visits.

Manage approximately 10-15 patients per day.

Provide brief therapy and psychoeducation when appropriate.

Provide crisis intervention and referrals when needed; crisis intervention is expected to be rare.

Conduct telepsychiatric assessments as needed.

Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, treatment plans, medical records, and required forms.

Coordinate care with clinical, medical, administrative, and program leadership.

Participate in staff education, in-services, staff meetings, and other organizational activities.

Assist with coordination of services for clients with mental health and substance use needs.

Maintain a reliable schedule and comply with all applicable clinical and employment requirements.

Patient PopulationPrimarily adult clients, with exposure to a variety of diagnoses.

Services may include individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.

The practice primarily provides outpatient behavioral health services.

ScheduleFull-time, 40 hours per weekMonday-FridayStandard clinic hours are generally 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.Some weekday evening hours may be required based on client scheduling needs.

No current overnight or weekend on-call requirement.

The organization may add one or two half-Saturdays per month in the future, but this is not currently part of the schedule.

QualificationsPMHNP candidates are strongly preferred.

Active North Carolina license required at the time of hire.

DEA registration required.

Board certification required.

Minimum 2-3 years of psychiatric/behavioral health experience required.

Outpatient behavioral health experience strongly preferred.

Experience in mental health and/or substance use services preferred.

Strong experience with psychiatric evaluation and medication management.

Candidates should be comfortable treating a variety of behavioral health diagnoses.

PA candidates may be considered if they have:

At least 3 years of hands-on mental health/substance use experience.

Appropriate credentials/qualifications to support MOUD (Medications for Opioid Use Disorder).Active North Carolina licensure and required DEA registration.

Relevant board certification/credentials.
