Our team of psychiatrists, advanced practice providers, psychologists and licensed therapists completed ~3 44 ,000 encounters and ~8,600 inpatient discharges in 202 5 . The team provides expert care for depression, anxiety, psychotic disorders, suicidal ideation and behaviors, substance use disorders, and other mental health conditions. In the Coastal region , Novant Health Psychiatry Institute provides a comprehensive continuum of care, including a 62-bed adult inpatient psychiatric unit, emergency department psychiatric services, and consultation-liaison psychiatry support for hospitalized medical and surgical patients. The program integrates behavioral health into primary care and specialty clinics through co-located and collaborative care models to improve access and outcomes. Advanced treatment options include electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) planned as part of ongoing expansion efforts.
