Job Description

Psychiatrists | Pediatric Neurologists | Developmental Specialists | PMHNPs/APNs HealthWorksPros is expanding its School-Based Clinical Services™ provider network and is seeking experienced medical and advanced-practice clinicians for anticipated school-district opportunities throughout New Jersey. We are currently recruiting specialists interested in flexible part-time, per-diem, and independent contractor (1099) opportunities providing specialized evaluations and clinical consultation for children and adolescents.
Compensation:
$100
  • 200 per hour equivalent , depending on specialty, credentials, experience, service type, and assignment.
Important:
Certain specialized evaluation assignments are compensated on a flat rate per completed evaluation rather than hourly . Evaluation-based compensation will be established according to specialty, scope, complexity, and client requirements. Specialists We Are Seeking HealthWorksPros is currently building its provider network for: Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists
  • MD/DO General Psychiatrists with pediatric/adolescent experience Pediatric Neurologists Neurologists with pediatric experience Developmental-Behavioral Pediatricians Neurodevelopmental Specialists Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP
  • Pediatrics Focus Advanced Practice Nurses with appropriate psychiatric/developmental expertise Other qualified medical specialists capable of performing pediatric or school-based specialized evaluations Potential Assignments Depending upon specialty and district requirements, providers may perform: Psychiatric evaluations Neurological evaluations Neurodevelopmental evaluations Developmental and behavioral assessments Specialized clinical evaluations Clinical record review Diagnostic consultation Child Study Team consultation IEP-related clinical participation when requested Written evaluation reports and recommendations Follow-up clinical consultation when appropriate Assignments may involve students being evaluated for special-education eligibility, reevaluation, educational planning, behavioral or developmental concerns, or other district-identified clinical needs.
Onsite & Virtual Opportunities Assignments will vary according to the evaluation, student needs, district requirements, professional standards, and applicable regulations. Some services will be performed onsite at schools or other designated locations, while appropriate services may be performed virtually through secure telehealth platforms. Providers may indicate availability for onsite, virtual, or hybrid assignments . Not all evaluations or specialties will be eligible for virtual delivery. Flexible Assignment Model This opportunity is particularly appropriate for specialists who want to supplement an existing hospital, private-practice, academic, or clinical schedule. Assignments may be scheduled individually or grouped into designated evaluation days depending upon district volume and provider availability.
Expected commitment:
approximately 2-15 hours per week or equivalent evaluation assignments , depending upon specialty, availability, and district demand. There is no guaranteed minimum caseload.
Qualifications Candidates must possess:
MD, DO, APN/PMHNP, or other appropriate advanced clinical degree for the applicable specialty. Current, unrestricted New Jersey professional license appropriate to the services provided. Appropriate board certification, eligibility, specialty training, or professional credentials where applicable. Experience evaluating or treating children and/or adolescents appropriate to the assignment. Ability to prepare timely, comprehensive, professionally written clinical reports. Ability to collaborate professionally with Child Study Teams, educators, families, and other clinicians. Experience with special education, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, behavioral health, pediatric neurology, developmental medicine, school-based evaluations, or Child Study Teams is highly desirable. Bilingual specialists, particularly Spanish-speaking clinicians, are strongly encouraged to apply. NJDOE School-Service Requirements Providers selected for school-based assignments must complete all applicable New Jersey Department of Education requirements before providing services. Depending upon discipline and assignment, this may include: Applicable NJDOE certification or endorsement through NJEdCert , or willingness and eligibility to obtain the appropriate credential; NJDOE Office of Student Protection Criminal History Review/background clearance ; Criminal-history approval associated with HealthWorksPros as the clinic/agency vendor; HealthWorksPros credentialing and clinical onboarding; and Any additional school-district-specific requirements. Our Provider Recruitment & Credentialing Team will assist selected clinicians through applicable HWP and NJDOE onboarding requirements. Why HealthWorksPros? HealthWorksPros provides the administrative and operational infrastructure surrounding school-based clinical assignments so specialists can focus on evaluation and clinical decision-making. Depending upon the assignment, HWP provides centralized referral coordination, scheduling support, credentialing assistance, secure clinical documentation, quality assurance, district communication, and administrative support. Providers may have opportunities to participate in assignments across multiple districts through HealthWorksPros School-Based Clinical Services™ .
Compensation Indeed Compensation Range:
$100
  • 200 per hour equivalent Actual compensation varies by specialty, credentials, experience, assignment requirements, and service model. Specialized evaluations may be compensated at a predetermined flat rate per completed evaluation rather than hourly.
