Job Description

Description This contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment, directly impacting patient outcomes. As a Locum Emergency Medicine physician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical emergencies. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services. This role provides the chance to work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment. Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients. Diagnose and treat acute health issues effectively. Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and develop treatment plans. Collaborate with nursing staff and medical teams for coordinated patient care. Respond promptly to emergency situations with appropriate medical interventions. Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records. Participate in case discussions and contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives. Adhere to established protocols and best practices in emergency medicine. Requirements MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree from an accredited institution. Board certification in Emergency Medicine is preferred. Associate-level experience in emergency medical settings. Strong clinical skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Current medical licensure to practice in the relevant state. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Schedule:
12-hour shifts No call requirement
Patient Volume:
20-40 per day, 10k annually
Support Staff:
Respiratory therapist and anesthesiologist
EMR:
MedHost Must be board-certified ATLS, ACLS, and PALS required Paid travel & expenses
