Job Description

Transplant Infectious Diseases Physician Hershey, PA Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a full time BC/BE Transplant Infectious Diseases Physician to support the growth of our Stem Cell Transplant (SCT) and Solid Organ Transplant (SOT) programs in Hershey, PA. Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center operates one of the top 40 adult stem cell transplant programs in the United States , performing approximately 200 oncology cellular therapy transplants annually , and is among eight programs nationally with above-average outcomes. Hershey Medical Center performs heart transplantation and LVAD implantation, and provides long-term care for recipients of kidney and liver transplants. This is an exciting opportunity to join our experienced sub-specialty team at our academic flagship facility, a 631-bed referral center for south-central Pennsylvania. The Division of Infectious Diseases promotes a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere, trains fellows, hosts clinical case conferences and other academic meetings, and seeks to advance clinical research. Faculty have opportunities to teach in the Penn State College of Medicine and the residency programs at Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center. While the hospital is in a quiet suburban setting, the area is connected by Amtrak train to major cities including Philadelphia (1 hour, 45 minutes) and New York City (3 hours, 30 minutes).
