The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Penn State College of Medicine, Penn State Health, is seeking a fellowship-trained Head and Neck Oncologic Surgeon to join our growing faculty. The ideal individual will have a solid technical background, an interest in continued academic and professional growth, and an ability to work well and collegially in an interdisciplinary team.

Position Highlights:

Join a division of 6 head and neck surgeons and a department of 17 full-time physicians, 2 dentists, 15 advanced practice providers, 12 audiologists, and 28 speech-language pathologists Division sees over 500 new cancer patients per year and over 1200 new patient visits and performs 50 free flaps and 20-30 pedicled flaps on average per year Strong referral base from the surrounding region: Lancaster, Reading, Lebanon Veterans Hospital, Gettysburg, and Harrisburg Growing clinical trial portfolio with sponsored and co-op trials Fleet of da Vinci robots in the Penn State Health system, including da Vinci SP Collaborative care with neurosurgery, dermatology, and Mohs surgeons, plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, medical oncology, and radiation oncology Participation in medical student, resident, and fellow education Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level, dependent on qualifications

Position Requirements:

M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., or equivalent degree BC/BE Otolaryngology and completion of a Head and Neck fellowship Experience treating a wide spectrum of head and neck surgical oncology Ability to acquire a license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates
