Position Type 1099 Independent Contractor Flexible scheduling (Full-time or Part-time) In-person outpatient practice in Wylie, Texas Opportunity to build a long-term patient panel Compensation Competitive and Negotiable Compensation is based on experience, availability, and preferred practice model. We are open to discussing a variety of payment arrangements, including: Percentage of collections Per-patient compensation Hourly compensation Daily or half-day rates Other mutually agreed-upon 1099 compensation models Our goal is to create a compensation package that is fair, competitive, and aligned with the physician's experience and professional goals. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations. Diagnose and treat a broad range of psychiatric conditions. Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications. Provide follow-up medication management visits. Collaborate with PMHNPs, therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals. Provide physician collaboration, mentorship, and clinical guidance to PMHNPs. Teach and support PMHNP students and other clinical learners as appropriate. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record (SimplePractice). Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support a culture of clinical excellence. Required Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry. Active, unrestricted Texas Medical License. Current DEA registration. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability and willingness to provide in-person psychiatric care at our Wylie, Texas office. Preferred Qualifications Experience treating children and adolescents. Experience providing telepsychiatry services. Experience collaborating with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs). Interest in mentoring, teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
