Desired Qualifications:
Current Connecticut certification as a school psychologist Previous experience working as a school psychologist in educational settings Strong assessment and report-writing skills In-depth understanding of student development and support strategies Excellent communication abilities for collaborating with educators, administrators, and families Proven track record attending and supporting PPT/IEP meetings Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students Participate in and provide input for PPT meetings, collaborating on IEPs and intervention plans Develop and recommend evidence-based interventions tailored to individual student needs Deliver consultative support to teachers, staff, and families regarding behavioral, academic, and social-emotional challenges Maintain thorough documentation aligned with district and state guidelines Stay current on best practices and legal requirements in school psychological services Foster positive working relationships with students, families, and school staff throughout the contract period Experience the variety and excitement of supporting diverse learners while collaborating with passionate professionals in the New London and Norwich area.
