Job Description

Make an impact supporting the success and wellbeing of middle school students as a valued contract School Psychologist. This rewarding onsite opportunity runs from late August through the end of the school year, supporting a student population of approximately 150 learners in grades 6 through 8. You'll provide direct services to both general education and special education students, using your expertise to foster positive learning environments and address diverse student needs.
Key Qualifications:
Active Connecticut school psychologist license required Demonstrated experience or education in school-based psychological services Strong communication, assessment, and consultative skills Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Commitment to ethical practice and confidential student care
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group assessments to support student learning, social-emotional development, and behavioral needs Deliver counseling and consultative services to students, teachers, and families Develop and help implement intervention plans that enhance student growth Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and progress monitoring for both general and special education populations Collaborate with school staff to promote positive school climate and student resilience Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with school policies and applicable regulations This contract role offers a flexible weekly schedule (24-32 hours) and an engaging environment where your contributions truly matter.
