Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position as a dedicated School Psychologist supporting elementary students in a dynamic environment near Acworth, GA. This engaging role serves one elementary school (grades K-5), making a direct, positive impact on young learners' educational journeys. The assignment begins in November and continues through the end of the school year, offering a fulfilling part-time schedule: two days per week, with one day required on Wednesdays and flexibility for the other.
Key Qualifications:
Licensed or certified School Psychologist with relevant state credentials Experience with elementary school populations (grades K-5) preferred Proficient in assessment, counseling, intervention, and consultation techniques Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary staff, teachers, and families Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation abilities Ability to balance onsite demands within a part-time schedule
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students in grades K-5 Participate in IEP/504 meetings, delivering professional input and recommendations Provide direct intervention and counseling to children, as needed Support teachers and staff with consultations concerning student needs Develop strategies for behavioral, social, and emotional support within a school setting Maintain detailed records and comply with reporting requirements Foster an inclusive, positive school climate through proactive engagement Perks of the
