Job Description

Step into a dynamic educational setting and make a meaningful difference as a School Psychologist working with K-8th grade students. This contract opportunity offers a full-time position near Rockford, IL, for the 2026-2027 school year, running from August 10, 2026, through June 4, 2027. You'll be part of a committed school staff, collaborating with educators, families, and administrators to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth. Ideal candidates bring a strong background in psychological assessment and intervention within the school environment. The role is set at 37.5 hours per week, providing ample opportunity to connect with a diverse group of students and affect positive change.

Qualifications:

Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid state licensure or eligibility for psychology credentials in the state Experience supporting K-8 students in school-based settings (preferred) Skilled in conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and providing counseling Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Deliver targeted interventions and counseling for groups and individuals Consult with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student success Assist in crisis intervention and proactive prevention initiatives Maintain meticulous documentation and comply with all relevant laws and regulations This is your chance to contribute to students' well-being and educational achievement throughout a pivotal school year.
