Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students as a School Psychologist in a vibrant educational setting serving approximately 900 learners. In this role, you'll contribute valuable expertise to a dynamic student population, engaging with diverse needs and working alongside dedicated faculty and staff members. This assignment offers flexibility for the right candidate, with both full-time and part-time (3 days/week) schedules considered.
Key Qualifications:
Hold current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Demonstrated experience with psychoeducational assessments in school settings Familiarity with IEP processes, Section 504 plans, and
MTSS/RTI
frameworks Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff Proven ability to manage and prioritize a substantial testing caseload (prior experience with 60+ students beneficial) Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for learners of all backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments, addressing a testing caseload similar to last year's volume (approximately 70 students) Interpret assessment results and generate clear, actionable evaluation reports Collaborate with special education teams regarding eligibility, services, and interventions Consult with teachers and parents, offering guidance on student learning, behavior, and well-being Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development and review Deliver counseling or intervention services as needed and appropriate within the school context This position empowers you to make a tangible difference in students' academic, social, and emotional lives while enjoying the flexibility to tailor your work schedule.
