Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled School Psychologist to join our educational team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychological services to students, supporting their social-emotional development, mental health, and academic success. You will conduct assessments, develop intervention strategies, and collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to create a safe and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in child and family counseling, behavioral management, and special education law, contributing significantly to the well-being and educational progress of students with diverse needs. Responsibilities Conduct psychological assessments including diagnostic evaluations, behavioral health assessments, social-emotional student assessments, and individual psychological testing to inform educational planning. Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on mental health support, social skills development, and behavioral management for students with disabilities or emotional challenges. Engage in case management activities including family collaboration to ensure comprehensive support for students' educational and emotional needs. Requirements Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution. Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist or equivalent credential. Proven experience working with children in school settings, particularly with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Strong knowledge of special education assessments, behavior management strategies, and legal requirements related to IEPs.
