Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position as a full-time School Psychologist, providing crucial support to K-12 students in a dynamic educational environment near Flint, MI. Collaborate closely with another experienced school psychologist and share caseload responsibilities, ensuring every student receives the attention they deserve. This engaging role offers an immediate start and stability through the 2026-2027 school year, with consistent hours (37.5 per week) and opportunities to make a long-term impact.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Current School Psychologist certification (state requirements must be met) Previous experience in a school setting, preferably with K-12 populations Strong assessment, counseling, and collaboration skills Ability to develop and implement interventions for a diverse range of student needs Adept at IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and parent/teacher consultations Comfortable working as part of a team and splitting caseloads effectively Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive student evaluations, including cognitive, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments Collaborate in intervention planning and progress monitoring with educators and families Support the development and implementation of IEPs Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students as needed Engage in data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform school-based decisions Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities Promote a safe, inclusive environment that fosters student growth This position offers both the satisfaction of supporting student development and the chance to partner with a passionate school psychology team.
