School Psychologist - River Rouge, MI

Job Description

Embark on a rewarding educational journey as a School Psychologist in River Rouge, MI, supporting students across multiple K-12 campuses. In this itinerant contract position, you'll provide essential psychological services, helping students overcome barriers to success from now through May 28, 2027. As part of a dedicated team, enjoy a structured weekday schedule—8 AM to 3 PM, with early dismissal on Wednesdays—dedicated to making a difference, one student at a time. Benefit from a competitive hourly range of $49-57 as part of a W2 hourly contract, with healthcare benefits available. What you'll bring: Valid Michigan School Psychologist certification (or eligibility for MI licensure) Experience working with K-12 students in diverse school settings Strong assessment, consultation, and crisis intervention skills Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families Familiarity with IEP processes and special education compliance Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities Flexibility and drive to travel between school sites in the district Your responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive psychological and psycho-educational assessments Contributing to the development of appropriate interventions and educational strategies Facilitating IEP meetings and collaborating on eligibility determinations Offering counseling and behavioral supports to students Sharing expertise with school teams to promote positive student outcomes Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with school policies Adaptively managing a weekly schedule across multiple campus locations This opportunity is ideal for travel professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about shaping student success.
