This role offers the opportunity to collaborate in a district environment near Taylor, MI. Two openings are available, each covering 2-3 school buildings with a 37.5-hour work week.
Desired Background & Experience:
Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure for Michigan Experience conducting cognitive assessments and evaluations in a school setting Strong understanding of special education processes and eligibility criteria Comfortable traveling between multiple buildings within a week Ability to work collaboratively with educational teams and report findings to staff and families Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
Lead cognitive testing and assist with eligibility determinations for students in assigned buildings Complete evaluations, re-evaluations, and deliver comprehensive, timely reports Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to interpret assessment results and recommend interventions Serve as a resource for IEP teams, providing expertise on testing tools, processes, and developmental recommendations Communicate professionally with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student needs and data Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all responsibilities Experience a supportive assignment where you provide essential services without a counseling caseload, focusing your expertise on testing and evaluations across various age groups.
