Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role working with students as a School Psychologist on a contract basis in a dynamic educational setting near Andover, MN. Utilize your expertise to support student success and collaborate with dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping young people thrive. Your background in school psychology will be vital as you assess student needs, provide counseling, and help create effective educational and behavioral plans. As an advocate for students, you'll work closely with educators, families, and administration to foster safe, supportive, and positive learning environments.
Ideal candidates will bring:
A master's or specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid School Psychologist licensure or certification in Minnesota (or eligible) Previous experience in a K-12 school environment preferred Strong skills in assessments, interventions, and consultation Ability to develop and implement IEPs and 504 plans Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization abilities Compassion, flexibility, and cultural competence Key responsibilities include: Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and write reports Collaborate on
MTSS/RTI
teams and contribute to data-based decision making Offer direct and indirect services to students, including counseling and interventions Participate in IEP, eligibility, and intervention meetings Support crisis prevention and response as needed Promote positive school climate and student well-being through outreach and training Consult with teachers, families, and school staff regarding student needs and supports This opportunity allows you to sharpen your skills while making a tangible difference each day.
