9429904-28806 Job Description Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-12 students as a School Psychologist in a vibrant educational setting near Asheville, NC. Your expertise will have a direct impact, supporting students academic and emotional success as you collaborate closely with educators and families. In this role, youll play a pivotal part in Special Education programming, providing comprehensive testing and assessment services. Your primary focus will be determining eligibility for the Exceptional Children (EC) program, alongside conducting reevaluation testing. Youll utilize your experience to administer a variety of assessments, including cognitive, adaptive, behavioral, and specialized screenings.
Qualifications:
Current School Psychologist license in the state of North Carolina Strong understanding of eligibility criteria for Special Education services Experience with psychoeducational assessments and report writing Ability to work effectively with K-12 students and diverse teams Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to assist in EC program eligibility determinations and reevaluations Administer and interpret cognitive, adaptive, and behavioral tests Prepare detailed evaluative reports for multidisciplinary teams Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement student support strategies Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with immediate start and lasting through late May 2026. Youll manage a dynamic caseload encompassing various age groups and needs, with support staff and resources available.
