Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time role supporting students' well-being and success as a School Psychologist. Work within a dynamic PreK-8 environment, with a primary focus on the P-4 age group, across four district buildings. This contract position offers a stable schedule from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, ideal for those who thrive on making meaningful connections and contributions during the traditional school day.
Key Experience & Qualifications:
Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist Hands-on experience in a school setting, preferably spanning PreK through elementary grades Strong proficiency with case management and counseling for students with diverse needs Ability to build collaborative relationships with both students and faculty Excellent communication, assessment, and intervention planning skills Commitment to fostering social-emotional growth and academic progress
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage a dedicated caseload of approximately 40-50 students, focusing on comprehensive case coordination Provide individual and small group counseling for 2-8 students, with an emphasis on evidence-based support Conduct thorough assessments, facilitate data-driven interventions, and develop actionable, student-centered plans Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to deliver cohesive support services Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs Engage in preventive initiatives and promote a positive, inclusive school climate
