Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into the role of School Psychologist as a key member of a dynamic Child Study Team for a leave replacement position running from September 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. This contract position is located near Somerset, NJ, and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact by supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth in an inclusive school environment.

Qualifications:

Hold a valid New Jersey certification as a School Psychologist. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Bilingual skills are preferred but not mandatory. Experienced collaborator with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Committed to promoting equity and fostering a welcoming, supportive atmosphere for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students' learning and behavioral needs. Participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education plans (IEPs) as part of the Child Study Team. Provide direct counseling and consultative services to students as needed. Collaborate regularly with educators, families, and external professionals to ensure coordinated support for each child. Advocate for best practices in mental health and learning support throughout the school community.
