Job Description

Make a genuine impact supporting young learners as a contract professional at an elementary school site for the upcoming school year. This opportunity is based near Toms River, NJ, and offers you a chance to work collaboratively in a nurturing educational environment. In this role, you will focus on conducting evaluations, managing cases, and supporting eligibility determination for students requiring additional services. You will interact with elementary-age learners and play a crucial part in their growth and development through direct assessment and consultation.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active New Jersey (NJ) certification as a School Psychologist or Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) Experience working with elementary-aged students is strongly preferred Understanding of evaluation processes, eligibility assessments, and case management within schools Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and learning disability evaluations for students Guide eligibility determination processes and support the development of individualized education programs (IEPs) Manage a caseload at a single elementary school, working directly with students and staff Provide consultative services to faculty and parents regarding student needs and interventions Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines This contract position offers 32.5 hours per week, giving you the chance to make a significant difference as part of a dedicated school community.
