Job Description

Psychologist - Day Program Behavioral Intervention Specialist Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated Psychologist to provide direct clinical services to adults with developmental disabilities and/or co‑occurring psychiatric conditions in day program settings. This role focuses on enhancing behavioral and social well‑being through individualized assessments, treatment planning, and staff training. Essential Responsibilities Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) in compliance with
OPWDD 633.16
regulations Provide individual and group supportive counseling services Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care Deliver clinical consultation and training to program staff on proactive and reactive interventions Facilitate family consultation sessions regarding behavioral concerns Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, Human Rights Committee reviews, and case conferences Prepare monthly behavioral data summaries, annual assessments, and regulatory reports Develop protocols for assistive devices when needed Review incident reports and provide clinical follow‑up Maintain accurate documentation per OPWDD standards Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution NYS Psychologist license required Minimum two years of experience providing direct clinical services to individuals with developmental disabilities, with at least one year post‑graduate experience Demonstrated ability to conduct FBAs and implement BSPs Strong written and verbal communication skills Flexible schedule with occasional late afternoon or evening availability Employment contingent upon background checks and credential verification Benefits Overview Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan Paid time off Professional development opportunities
Pay:
$55.00 - $60.00 per hour
