Key Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist certification or equivalent licensure. Experience with comprehensive evaluations for K-12 students. In-depth understanding of IEP processes, special education law, and best practices in assessment. Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct initial and re-evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services. Administer and interpret psychological assessments using a variety of tools and strategies. Prepare comprehensive reports communicating findings to staff and families. Collaborate with evaluation coordinators and other school professionals to ensure coordinated, student-focused services. Participate in eligibility, intervention, and IEP meetings across the district. Offer expert recommendations to support individualized learning needs.
