The School Psychologist works collaboratively with students, families, teachers, administrators, and other members of the student support team to promote student success, remove barriers to learning, and ensure students receive appropriate supports and services. The School Psychologist will contribute to a positive, inclusive, and student-centered school environment while ensuring services are provided in accordance with Pennsylvania law, applicable regulations, school policies, and professional standards. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and reevaluations in accordance with applicable federal and Pennsylvania requirements.
• Administer, score, interpret, and document appropriate psychological, educational, behavioral, and developmental assessments.
• Participate as a member of multidisciplinary teams to identify student strengths, needs, and appropriate educational supports.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and other individualized student supports.
• Participate in IEP, 504, Student Assistance Program (SAP), and other student support meetings as appropriate.
• Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, families, and support staff regarding student academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs.
• Assist staff in identifying and implementing evidence-based interventions and strategies to support student learning and behavior.
• Provide direct and/or indirect psychological services to students based on identified needs.
• Support students experiencing academic, behavioral, social-emotional, or other barriers to educational success.
• Conduct functional behavioral assessments and assist with the development and monitoring of behavior support plans when appropriate.
• Assist with crisis response, safety planning, and other student support needs as appropriate.
• Collaborate with school personnel to identify early warning signs and provide appropriate interventions and referrals.
• Consult with families regarding student needs, evaluation results, educational programming, and available resources.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely records and documentation related to psychological services and student evaluations.
• Collaborate with outside agencies and community providers, as appropriate and consistent with applicable confidentiality requirements.
• Provide professional development, consultation, and resources to staff related to student behavior, mental health, social-emotional learning, disabilities, and other areas within the School Psychologist's expertise.
• Collaborate with the PSSA team to coordinate assessment schedules, timelines, and administration in compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements, state laws, and school procedures.
• Oversee benchmark and ELD assessments, including administration, timelines, data monitoring, and compliance with school and state requirements, while collaborating with staff to inform student support and instructional planning.
• Participate in building-level and school-wide initiatives designed to promote student well-being, positive behavior, inclusion, and academic success.
• Remain current on Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements, special education regulations, professional practices, and relevant research. Qualifications
• Pennsylvania State Certification
• Master's degree in Psychology
• Practiced in behavioral assessment and designing effective interventions.
• Skilled in conducting special education evaluations, developing IEPs, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Successful experience supporting students with social-emotional and mental health needs.
• A demonstrated track record working directly with students in a K-8 educational setting.
• A history of building strong partnerships with families and outside service providers.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situations.

Additional Requirements:

• Must have a valid PA driver's license

Clearances:
