Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting students' academic, social, and emotional success for the 2026-27 school year. We are seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a part-time contracted position near Hazleton, PA. This opportunity involves working with students one day per week, offering expert psychological services to help them thrive in a positive learning environment.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Pennsylvania certification as a School Psychologist Experience working in a school setting, preferably within K-12 Strong knowledge of assessment, intervention, consultation, and counseling techniques Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills Familiarity with special education evaluation and compliance processes
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations and interpret assessment results Provide individual and group counseling to students as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop IEPs and effective intervention strategies Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to support diverse student needs Assist in crisis intervention and provide behavioral support when necessary Maintain all required records in accordance with district and state guidelines Promote a safe, healthy, and supportive school climate This position is a great fit for those interested in balancing professional impact with a flexible schedule.
