  • 20 hours/week Days Worked Flexible, M-F Hours/Shift worked Flexible, during office hours Posting Detail Information Job Summary/Basic Function The Department of Psychology is looking for a candidate to assist the department secretary with day to day operations within the department.
Required Qualifications Must be familiar with MS Office software Must be able to work with a diverse population Must be able to multitask Must be responsible and dependable Must know the importance of confidentiality in an office setting Must have exceptional interpersonal skills Must be in good academic standing with a GPA of at least 3.00 Successful completion of three background checks Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an office setting Job Duties Tasks may include but are not limited to: Typing, filing, copying, shredding Answering phone calls Assisting students with questions Assisting faculty with departmental events (open house, Psychology department picnic) Processing mail Running errands Monitoring departmental bulletin boards Assisting with tutoring assignments Creating applicant folders for graduate school interviews Working Conditions and Physical Effort Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk during entire shift Posting Open Date 09/04/2026 Posting Close Date 10/16/2026 Special Instructions to Applicants Cover letter is optional.
