Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting students with intensive social, emotional, and behavioral needs through the Promising Students Program (PSP) in a vibrant school community near Hilton Head Island, SC. This contract role calls for a School Psychologist who excels in behavioral support and trauma-informed care, dedicating expertise to fostering positive outcomes for students facing significant challenges.
Key Qualifications:
Master's or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist Strong background in behavioral support, counseling, and trauma-informed practices Experience conducting psychoeducational and behavioral assessments Proficiency in developing and monitoring Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) Familiarity with MTSS frameworks and data-driven decision making Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families Compassion, adaptability, and commitment to meeting diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individual and small-group counseling tailored to students' needs Conduct psychoeducational and behavioral evaluations Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) Assist in the creation and monitoring of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Support implementation of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Consult with teachers and families around interventions and strategies Participate in IEP and Section 504 meetings as a team member Contribute to crisis response and safety planning Develop transition plans to help students reintegrate into their home schools This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to empower students, reduce barriers to success, and promote long-term growth.
