School Psychologist in Killeen, TX

Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students and empowering educators as a skilled School Psychologist in a contract position near Killeen, TX. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field required Valid state licensure or eligibility for state certification as a School Psychologist Experience in administering academic, cognitive, and behavioral assessments Strong understanding of Response to Intervention (RTI), Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and special education processes Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgement
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations using standardized assessments and observations Interpret data and share results with families, teachers, and support staff Provide recommendations and strategies for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment Serve as an active member of Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) teams Offer short-term counseling or intervention services to students as needed Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and families to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Facilitate professional development sessions on mental health, behavior, and learning supports This position offers a dynamic and rewarding professional experience within a supportive school community.
