Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Put your expertise to work supporting K-12 students across four buildings in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated professional who thrives in a collaborative, district-wide setting and is ready to make a positive difference for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Qualifications:

Current Vermont School Psychologist Certificate (required) Experience working as a school psychologist with students in kindergarten through 12th grade Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive psychological services across the district to support student learning and well-being Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and assist with eligibility determinations and IEP processes Offer short-term counseling and crisis intervention to students Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote a positive school climate and address student needs Serve as a resource to teachers, staff, and parents on matters related to learning and behavior Contribute to professional development and consultative activities within the district This full-time contract position (35-37.5 hours per week) spans the entire school year, running from late August to mid-June. The role is situated near Chester, VT, working with students and staff in a supportive, engaged educational community.
