Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Discover a rewarding opportunity working with pre-K through 6th grade students as a contracted school psychologist and counselor. This position, located near Norwich, VT, currently offers a .7 schedule (28 hours), with the potential to expand to full-time if needed. Your expertise will be shared across two locations, providing vital support to young students as they navigate their educational journeys. Your role will focus on counseling services, including small group work, one-on-one sessions, and overall support to the school community. You'll collaborate closely with educators and families to deliver a comprehensive approach that nurtures student growth and well-being.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist Experience providing counseling to children in school settings Ability to work with pre-K through 6th grade populations Proficiency in conducting small group and individual counseling sessions Strong communication and collaboration skills Comfortable traveling between two locations Previous contract or travel position experience is a plus, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one-on-one and small group counseling for social, emotional, and behavioral needs Support overall school climate through consultation and collaboration with staff Assist with crisis intervention and schoolwide initiatives as needed Participate in student support teams and contribute to individualized service plans Maintain accurate, confidential records and provide reports as necessary If you're eager for a meaningful contract role making a difference with young students, this could be the perfect fit.
