As a key member of the radiation therapy team, you'll provide direct treatment to oncology patients, ensuring the safe and precise application of radiation therapy as prescribed by medical professionals. Qualifications:
Current certification and registration as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT). Valid state license to practice as a Radiation Therapist. Demonstrated experience with radiation therapy equipment, treatment planning, and delivery. Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients and multidisciplinary teams. Attention to detail and accuracy in treatment documentation and technical execution.
Responsibilities:
Deliver safe and accurate radiation therapy treatments following physician prescriptions and established protocols. Prepare and operate radiation therapy equipment, including setup and positioning of patients for optimal treatment. Monitor and assess patient responses during procedures, promptly reporting any unusual reactions or concerns. Maintain meticulous patient records, documenting all aspects of treatment delivery. Collaborate with oncologists, dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Adhere to all regulatory requirements and safety standards in the radiation oncology environment. Provide education and support to patients and families regarding procedures and care instructions.
