Naugatuck Valley Radiology (NVRA) is seeking a qualified and patient-focused CT Technologist to join our team. The CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT and diagnostic radiographic examinations, providing safe and compassionate patient care, and ensuring high-quality imaging and an excellent patient experience. What You'll Do Perform CT examinations according to established protocols and department standards. Verify patient identity, exam orders, clinical information, and demographic information prior to examinations. Position patients and equipment appropriately and select proper imaging techniques. Administer IV contrast when indicated and follow established protocols for contrast administration and reactions. Assess patient condition and maintain patient safety throughout the examination. Review images for technical quality and completeness and present examinations to the radiologist for interpretation. Document examinations accurately in the RIS and other applicable systems, including exam details, contrast information, referring physician, and required technical notes. Upload prior/foreign images and provide CDs or electronic image sharing to patients and referring providers as needed. Complete STAT examinations promptly and document required report information in the RIS. Maintain accurate patient and examination information to support quality patient care and appropriate billing. Follow radiation safety procedures and appropriately protect patients, staff, and yourself during examinations. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with

privacy practices, and applicable regulations. Complete incident reports and promptly report incomplete, incorrect, or unusual examinations or situations. Monitor patient schedules and assist with filling open appointment times when appropriate. Assist with patient flow and overall office workflow to support efficient operations. Assist front desk staff with patient arrivals, phone calls, kiosks, and other duties that enhance the patient experience. Assist with training and orientation of new employees within the CT/radiology department. Monitor supplies and notify management when inventory needs replenishment. Provide coverage at other NVRA locations when needed. Maintain a professional, respectful, and cooperative working relationship with patients, families, physicians, referring offices, and coworkers. Participate in required training, in-services, conferences, performance evaluations, and professional development activities. Follow all applicable patient care, infection control, emergency, fire, safety, and disaster procedures. Maintain competency and proficiency in CT and radiologic technology practices and current ARRT specialty standards. What We're Looking For Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum of two years of experience in diagnostic radiology preferred. CT experience required. Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred. ARRT certification and/or applicable specialty certification. Current Connecticut Radiologic Technologist license. CT certification or eligibility in the assigned specialty. Board eligibility applies to new hires only. Current IV certification. Current CPR certification. Knowledge of CT procedures, equipment operation, radiation safety, contrast administration, cross-sectional anatomy, and patient positioning and transfer techniques. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a busy outpatient environment. Professional, ethical, dependable, and patient-focused approach. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent standing and walking, as well as pushing, pulling, lifting, and positioning patients. The CT Technologist must be able to: Frequently lift and/or assist with objects or patients weighing 50+ pounds. Assist with patient transfers and positioning. Stand and walk for extended periods. Work in limited spaces and in both bright and low-light examination rooms. Perform repetitive hand and arm movements and moderately difficult hand-eye coordination tasks. Wear protective lead aprons and gloves when required. Hear normal sounds in an environment with some background noise. Perform duties safely while maintaining efficient patient flow. Occupational Risks This position involves the normal occupational hazards associated with radiologic healthcare environments, including exposure to ionizing radiation, blood and bodily fluids, and other potentially hazardous materials. All required safety, infection control, radiation protection, and personal protective equipment procedures must be followed.
