Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners in highly specialized Autism Program Classrooms. This is a contract opportunity available immediately through the end of October, providing essential coverage and continuity for students during a critical transition period.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required
For Paraprofessionals:
Current Connecticut Para Certification and proven experience in autism support classrooms Confident working with children aged 5-6 with severe Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Ability to assist with toileting needs and comfortable with diaper changes Collaborative spirit and adaptability in a classroom setting
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct behavioral and instructional support to young students with ASD in a structured classroom environment Implement individualized strategies, behavior intervention plans, and reinforcement systems under supervisor guidance Support students during daily routines, transitions, and personal care activities Document observations and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to track progress and adjust interventions as needed Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment ensuring safety and well-being of all students
