Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated X-Ray Technologist who is eager to expand their expertise by cross-training into Computed Tomography (CT). This vital role combines proficiency in radiologic imaging with the opportunity to develop advanced skills in CT imaging, enhancing patient care and diagnostic accuracy. Duties Perform high-quality X-ray procedures across various clinical settings, including urgent care, emergency rooms, and trauma centers. Assist in the transition to CT imaging by learning and applying protocols for cross-sectional imaging techniques. Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety procedures and implement radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff. Operate advanced radiologic imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, mammography, DEXA scans, PET scans, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiography. Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures, maintaining patient comfort, and ensuring proper positioning for optimal imaging results. Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, images, and patient records following hospital policies and medical terminology standards. Support diagnostic evaluation by collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver precise imaging results promptly. Experience Proven experience as an X-ray technologist with proficiency in general radiology procedures. Prior experience or familiarity with emergency room settings, Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology. Experience operating a variety of medical imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy units Demonstrated understanding of radiation safety procedures and aseptic techniques during invasive or interventional procedures. Exposure to urgent care environments or emergency medicine enhances your ability to adapt quickly and deliver exceptional patient care under pressure. Pay:
