  • Job Summary
  • As an Imaging Assistant, you would assist the technologists working all modalities within the Imaging Department, including: Xray, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine and Interventional Radiology. You will prep and screen patients prior to imaging exam/procedure.
  • + •You would assist technologists in verifying patient identity and general patient mobility and positioning in the exam room.
  • + •Assist patients, families and friends as needed; escorts patients to correct locations for imaging studies.
  • + •Facilitates communication between the Imaging Services Department and members of the medical staff and other hospital departments.
  • + •Ensures quality care to patients, adhering to policies, procedures, and standards.
  • + •You will assist with the provision of all clerical services in the department.
  • + •Proactively address patient satisfaction issues related to delays.
  • + •Review written orders and accurately transcribes into the electronic medical record system, entering appropriate history as written on the order.
  • What qualifications you will need:
  • + •Excellent organization/time management skills.
  • + •Experience in hospital environment a plus.
  • + •Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
