  • $73 per hour Job Summary Pride Health is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist (Radiographer) for a contract opportunity in Elmhurst, NY.
The Radiologic Technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations, ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, and collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnosis and treatment in an acute care setting. Responsibilities
  • Perform general diagnostic radiographic examinations following physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Operate radiographic imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow radiation safety and infection control guidelines at all times.
  • Verify patient identity and explain imaging procedures to patients.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
  • Identify equipment issues and report malfunctions promptly.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment.
  • Participate in quality assurance and departmental improvement initiatives. Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Military training accepted).
  • Minimum 2 years of General Radiographer experience in an acute care setting.
  • Current certification and registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Radiologic Technologist License.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Strong knowledge of general radiography procedures and radiation safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional experience in high-volume acute care hospitals.
  • Experience using EPIC electronic medical record system.
  • Strong teamwork and critical thinking skills. Schedule & Additional Information
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
Evening Shift:
4:00 PM
  • 12:00 AM.
  • Alternating weekends and holidays required.
  • Two weeks of daytime orientation/training (9:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM) including EPIC training.
  • Interviews conducted in person.
