$65- $73 per hour Job Summary Pride Health is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist (Radiographer) for a contract opportunity in Elmhurst, NY.
- Perform general diagnostic radiographic examinations following physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Operate radiographic imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow radiation safety and infection control guidelines at all times.
- Verify patient identity and explain imaging procedures to patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Identify equipment issues and report malfunctions promptly.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment.
- Participate in quality assurance and departmental improvement initiatives. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Military training accepted).
- Minimum 2 years of General Radiographer experience in an acute care setting.
- Current certification and registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Radiologic Technologist License.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Strong knowledge of general radiography procedures and radiation safety practices.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Preferred Qualifications
- Additional experience in high-volume acute care hospitals.
- Experience using EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Strong teamwork and critical thinking skills. Schedule & Additional Information
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
Evening Shift:
4:00 PM- 12:00 AM.
- Alternating weekends and holidays required.
- Two weeks of daytime orientation/training (9:00 AM
- 5:00 PM) including EPIC training.
- Interviews conducted in person.
