1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Special Procedures Technologist for a Cath Lab/EP Lab with neuro experience required and at least 1 year of Special Procedures/Vascular Interventional Radiology experience. Details Works in the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Monday-Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM No call, weekend, or holiday requirements 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week Uses Cerner for charting May float to a sister hospital nearby Requirements Minimum 2 years experience as a radiologic technologist, or at least 1 year experience in Special Procedures/Vascular Interventional Radiology Must have Neuro experience Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professionals ARRT Radiography (R) Certification required BLS certification through the American Heart Association required South Carolina Radiation Quality Standard Association (SCRQSA) Radiographer Certification required Active SC or compact license required if applicable Strong interpersonal and communication skills required Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations Ability to safely operate Special Procedures and processing equipment Additional Information Perform Special Procedures exams under medical supervision of certified radiologists, producing diagnostic images for interpretation Assist radiologists during procedures as needed Supervise and assist in clinical education of student Radiologic Technologists Instruct and prepare patients regarding imaging procedures and assist with informed consent Communicate with Radiologists and family members regarding procedures and discharge instructions Ensure accurate entry of orders, diagnosis, and clinical history into the computer system Follow radiation safety protocols in accordance with ALARA principles and

guidelines Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and work-related information Demonstrate flexibility, accountability, and a team-player attitude within the Imaging Department Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Travelers may stay on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date, requiring a 30-60 day break before starting a new assignment First-time travelers may be considered for this role
