Full Job Description Overview:
Fellowship Square is seeking an Activities Director to bring energy, creativity, and compassion to our vibrant senior living community. This is more than a job; it's an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by enriching the lives of our residents through engaging, purposeful, and joyful programs. About the Role As the Activities Director, you will design and oversee a diverse range of social, educational, and recreational programs that support the cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being of our residents. You will lead a team of support staff and volunteers to create an engaging experience for our residents.
Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate all activity programs for our Assisted Living residents, including transportation for off-site events. Prepare resident activity assessments to tailor programs to their interests. Supervise activities support staff, drivers, and volunteers. Design monthly newsletters and calendars for Assisted Living and Memory Support. Plan and promote community events, seminars, and special celebrations. Ensure the safe and efficient use of spaces, equipment, and transportation. Maintain budget oversight and track department expenditures. Keep our residents informed and engaged through posters, bulletin boards, and digital communications. Serve as a shining example of the values and mission of Fellowship Square.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred (experience in senior care may substitute). Minimum of 5 years of experience working with senior activities. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong leadership and organizational abilities. Compassionate, energetic, and self-directed. Tech-savvy and capable of using basic design or word processing software for newsletters/calendars. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. A valid driver's license and willingness to drive company vehicles as needed.
