Job Description

Position Summary

The Nashua-Plainfield Community School District is seeking a responsible and organized Junior High Activities Supervisor to oversee and support junior high activities and athletic programs. The supervisor will help provide a safe, positive, and well-organized experience for students while supporting the district's activities philosophy and expectations.

Qualifications

High school diploma required.

Previous experience working with students or in school activities preferred.

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to supervise students and activities in a positive and professional manner.

Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification if required.

Completion of district-required trainings and certifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise junior high activities, practices, games, and events as assigned.

Provide appropriate supervision and ensure student safety.

Support coaches, sponsors, students, and staff with activity-related needs.

Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, responsibility, respect, and positive behavior.

Assist with activity schedules, facilities, equipment, uniforms, and transportation as needed.

Communicate schedules, changes, concerns, and other information to the Activities Director and appropriate staff.

Ensure activities follow district policies, conference rules, and applicable state regulations.

Monitor facilities and report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns.

Work cooperatively with the Activities Director, administrators, coaches, sponsors, students, parents, and other district personnel.

Attend meetings and complete required trainings as assigned.

Maintain confidentiality and serve as a positive role model for students.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Activities Director or administration.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and actively supervise students for extended periods.

Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and move equipment as needed.

Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends as required.

Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily in school buildings, gymnasiums, athletic facilities, and other activity locations. Evening and occasional weekend hours may be required.

Terms of Employment

Work schedule, compensation, and other terms of employment are established by the Nashua-Plainfield Community School District Board of Education and applicable district policies and agreements. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background checks and trainings.
