Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and implement a variety of activities and programs for residents in accordance with their interests and abilities.
• Coordinate and schedule activities, ensuring a diverse range of options are available to meet the needs of residents.
• Provide support and assistance to residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, volunteers, and other resources to enhance the activity program.
• Conduct assessments and provide counseling to address aging issues and promote emotional well-being among residents.
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities and evaluate the effectiveness of programs.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in social work or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors or in a similar role is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of aging issues, including physical, cognitive, and emotional changes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in improving the quality of life for seniors.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
