This is a 13-week local travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse assignment in Troy, Alabama. The RN will deliver safe, evidence-based care to emergency department patients, collaborating with the healthcare team and ensuring accurate documentation. The role supports the organization's mission to provide high-quality emergency care while offering nurses competitive weekly pay and a travel experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to emergency department patients Perform comprehensive assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring based on acuity Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to emergent situations Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders and protocols Initiate and assist with emergency interventions, procedures, and treatments Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, technicians, and team members Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record Prioritize care effectively in a fast-paced environment Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, follow-up care, and discharge instructions Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, patient-safety procedures, and regulatory requirements Provide professional, patient-centered care to individuals with a wide range of medical and emergency conditions Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, communication skills, adaptability, and teamwork throughout the assignment

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Alabama Current BLS certification ACLS certification PALS certification CEN or TNCC certification Strong assessment, prioritization, critical-thinking, and emergency-response skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred Skills:

12 months of Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience Experience caring for patients across a broad range of acuity levels Previous travel or contract nursing experience Additional emergency nursing certifications
