This role covers multiple school buildings and programs, serving a dynamic caseload of approximately 25-30 students while supporting the varying health needs of a broader student population each day. The assignment starts as soon as possible and runs through 12/18/26, offering flexible hours between 16 and 32 per week based on weekly demand.

What Youll Bring:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with eligibility to practice in Colorado. Prior experience in a school or pediatric nursing setting preferred. Strong understanding of chronic health conditions, medication administration, and emergency protocols in school environments. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, educators, and healthcare providers. Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules and support multiple locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and document medication administration for students across all assigned buildings. Coordinate care for individuals with complex medical needsincluding diabetes, epilepsy, severe allergies, asthma, and more. Train and delegate health-related duties to designated school personnel in compliance with state regulations. Support the development and monitoring of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Section 504 plans for students requiring health-related services; participate in meetings as necessary. Assist with immunization compliance, including conducting audits and ensuring up-to-date state reporting. Provide staff training on emergency medications, health action plans, and medical procedures relevant to school settings. Maintain ongoing communication with parents/guardians, healthcare professionals, school administration, and staff regarding student care or protocol changes.
