Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Chemotherapy Nurse Coordinator (Registered Nurse) to join our specialized patient care team. Duties Coordinate chemotherapy administration by developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with oncologists and healthcare professionals Monitor patient responses during chemotherapy sessions, assessing vital signs and managing potential adverse reactions promptly Educate patients and their families about treatment procedures, side effects, and post-treatment care to promote understanding and compliance Manage patient records meticulously using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation of treatments and assessments Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform care strategies Facilitate discharge planning by coordinating post-treatment care, outpatient follow-ups, and home health services as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including pharmacists, social workers, and physicians—to optimize patient outcomes and streamline clinical workflows Requirements Valid Colorado unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license with current state certification Critical care experience preferred, including ICU or Emergency Room settings, demonstrating strong patient assessment skills Knowledge of hospital medicine practices, infectious disease management, and healthcare regulation policies such as HIPAA compliance Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and electronic health records (EHR/EHR) systems Strong understanding of physiology, pharmacology related to oncology treatments, and case management principles Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about complex treatment plans Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in inpatient or outpatient settings while maintaining high standards of patient service Join us to be part of a compassionate team dedicated to advancing cancer care through expert coordination and personalized patient support.
