REMUNERATION:
Stonington Nurses' Collective Bargaining Agreement (attached)
HOURS:
up to 22.5 hours per week - schedule to be determined by the school and Health Services Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
Holds a valid CT RN license from the State Department of Health Services to practice professional nursing Has one year of work experience within the last five years Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR certificate) Receives 15 hours of continuing education in school health every two years (Public Act 23-167 sections 34 and 35) Preferred additional qualifications Has successfully completed a bachelor's degree program in nursing or 30 credits towards a master's degree program in nursing from a National League for Nursing (NLN) accredited school. Has successfully completed two years of full-time equivalent employment in nursing, one of which must be in pediatric, adolescent, community, or public health nursing within the past five years; or one year of full-time employment in pediatric, adolescent, community, or public health nursing within the past five years and 15 semester hours of a graduate program leading to a master's degree with a concentration in nursing or an equivalent combination; School nurse certification is preferred. Basic knowledge of nursing software (SNAP).
Must be able to:
acquire a working knowledge of District policies, procedures, and personnel philosophy. utilize the Board's email system. relate in a positive, friendly manner with staff members, students, parents, and the public. handle multiple issues, concerns, and tasks simultaneously.
