Job Description
May Nursery is seeking a dependable Part-Time Spray Technician to assist with pesticide, fungicide, herbicide, and other plant-treatment applications throughout our nursery operation. Because spraying is affected by wind, rain, temperature, and other weather conditions, applicants must have some flexibility with their evening schedule. Schedule Part-time Evenings/night shift and weekends Flexible start time, but no later than 6:00 PM Approximately 4-6 hours per shift Shifts may continue as late as 12:00 midnight Schedule and hours may vary depending on weather conditions Some seasonal and scheduling flexibility may be required Qualifications Dependable and able to report to work as scheduled Comfortable working outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions Able to work safely during evening and nighttime hours Able to follow written and verbal instructions carefully Strong attention to detail, especially when measuring products and completing application records Able to work independently after proper training Able to wear required PPE for the duration of an application Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred Previous agricultural, nursery, landscaping, pest-control, or spray-equipment experience preferred but not required Previous pesticide application experience or applicable pesticide license/certification is a plus What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently. Because applications must often be completed within specific weather and timing windows, dependability and schedule flexibility are important. Experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic and takes safety seriously.
