Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse CNC for our Lake Jackson ER. In this role, you'll deliver evidence-based emergency care, triage and stabilize patients, and coordinate treatment with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. You'll serve as a clinical resource, support complex cases, and mentor staff while ensuring accurate documentation and patient education. You'll help drive quality, safety, and process improvements, reflecting our culture of compassion, teamwork, and continuous learning. Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in the Lake Jackson ER, following HCA Healthcare clinical standards and protocols Triage, assess, and monitor patients, administering medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care Operate and monitor ER equipment, accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions, ensuring understanding and safety Support quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice within the emergency department Precept and mentor newer nurses and staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, learning, and professional growth Respond rapidly to emergencies, including codes and trauma activations, following
ACLS/PALS
guidelines Required Skills Emergency nursing Triage and rapid assessment IV therapy and medication administration Cardiac and rhythm monitoring ACLS protocols
